Who we are
Backed by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Sport programme, Planet Ball project is composed of 8 partners in 7 European countries : Sport and Citizenship (leader), Real Betis Balompié, Futbol Mas, organization Earth, Nõmme Kalju FC, HJK Helsinki, Romanian Football Federation and Turkish Football Federation.
Several partners organise training and festivals to develop environmental awareness in Europe through sport.
Sport and Citizenship
Think tank in Europe, Sport and Citizenship works on the socio-political issues of sport. It aims to analyse sports policy and to study the societal impact of sport since 16 years.
Real Betis Balompié
The Real Betis Balompié Foundation is a non-profit foundation. Its general interest objectives are the promotion of sport, particularly football, as an instrument for the promotion of education in values, the fight against discrimination and social exclusion, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles among children and young people.
Fútbol Más
Fútbol Más is a not-for-profit organization with 15 years of experience across 10 countries in designing and implementing sport for development programmes founded in theories of change based on resilience and positive psychology. They seek to promote the wellbeing and mental health of children and youth.
Organization Earth
The organization Earth is a Greek NGO which aims to design and implement actions for urban sustainable development and social well-being. It offers non-typical education on sustainable development, climate change, circular economy, and organic farming.
HJK Helsinki
HJK is the biggest football club in Finland and one of the leading football clubs in Scandinavia. They have a high quality academy with more than 3500 youth and an active community around us in Helsinki. HJK is a club based on values and corporate social responsibility; environmental sustainability being one of its core values.
Nõmme Kalju FC
Professional football club based in Tallinn (Estonia), Kalju’s football has a social value that must be defended. For this reason, the club wants to pave the way to become not only an environmentally sustainable club, but also to accompany its community towards more ecological behaviours. It has played in the Premium league since 2008.
Romanian Football Federation
Non-profit organization, the institutional vocation of the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) is to promote football all over the Romanian territory. Their activity is based on a set of principles and values such as: love for football, meritocracy, integrity, good governance, development and performance, no to violence, no to racism, fair play and perseverance.
Turkish Football Federation
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is the governing body for football in Turkey. It is responsible for overseeing all aspects of football in the country, including the organization of leagues and
competitions, the development of grassroots football, and the management of the national teams. TFF has a strong focus on developing football at the grassroots level, with initiatives to promote the sport among young people and support the development of amateur clubs.
